WHATS A MIND MAP AND WHY SHOULD I BOTHER?
Artists create mind maps to help them guide their journey through a series of work. The MIND MAP works as the series blue print with the essential question at the center. A useful mind map should help make the connections between the essential question, ideas, materials, potential sequences, visual metaphors, and possibly more. It is a document that may never be 100% complete because it may function as a living document, that alters as your ideas and intentions develop. As you will see in both the video and images below everyone my have a very different looking mind map and that is 100% ok and expected. Everyones brains work a little different.
No matter how your mind map looks it should contain the following core information.
